.docx document · single file · up to 50 MB
The old Word format (.doc, before 2007) can't be read in the browser.
Easy fix: open the file in Word or Google Docs, choose Save As (or Download) and pick .docx, then drop the new file here.
Real text, not a picture
Each page is rebuilt as a PDF with real text, so you can select, search and copy it. Hindi and other Indian-language text, and ₹, display correctly.
See it before you save
The live preview is the finished PDF itself. Step through the pages, zoom in, and change the page setup until it looks right.
Page setup
Keep the page size and margins from your Word file, or pick A4, Letter, Legal, A3 or A5, change the orientation and add page numbers.
Know the limits
Fonts that are not on your device are replaced by similar ones, so a line break can move. Charts, SmartArt and equations may be missing. Compare with your original.

About Word to PDF
Word to PDF reads your .docx file and rebuilds each page as a PDF with real, selectable text. A live preview shows the finished PDF page by page, with buttons to move between pages, a zoom control and a strip of page thumbnails, and it updates when you change the page size, orientation, margins or page numbers. Headings, bold and italic, colours, bullet and numbered lists, tables with merged cells, pictures, page size, margins, headers and footers are carried over. Hindi, Telugu and other Indian-language text, and the rupee sign, are supported.
Because the conversion runs in your browser and not in Microsoft Word, fonts that are not available on your device are replaced by similar ones, so line breaks and page breaks can differ slightly from Word. Very complex layouts (text wrapped around pictures, charts, SmartArt, equations) may not be reproduced. For a quick check, compare the result with your original before sending it.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work with old .doc files?
No. Open the file in Word, choose Save As and pick Word Document (.docx), then convert it.
Can I see the PDF before I download it?
Yes. The live preview is the finished PDF itself, so what you see is what you get. Use the arrows or the thumbnails to move between pages, and change the page setup to see it update.
Will it look exactly like Word?
Usually very close. Fonts that are not on your device are replaced by similar ones, so line breaks can shift a little. Charts, SmartArt and equations may be missing.
Are my documents uploaded?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser.
Is the PDF text searchable?
Yes. Text stays as real text, except for some Indian-language words that are drawn as pictures so they display correctly.
Can I convert a Google Docs file?
Yes. In Google Docs choose File, Download, Microsoft Word (.docx), then convert that file here.
