Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about PDFEditKaro.

Is PDFEditKaro really free?

Yes. Every tool is free to use, with no account, no page limits and no watermark added to your documents.

Are my files uploaded to your servers?

No. Your PDFs and images are opened and processed inside your own browser. They are never sent to us, and nothing is stored once you close the tab.

Do I need to install anything?

No. PDFEditKaro runs in any modern browser such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, on a computer, tablet or phone.

Can I use PDFEditKaro on my phone?

Yes, the tools open in mobile browsers. For precise text editing, a laptop or desktop is easier.

Can I edit a scanned PDF?

A scanned PDF is a picture of text, so there is nothing to click and edit. It needs OCR (text recognition) first.

Why does edited text look slightly different from the original?

The editor detects the font of each line (family, bold, italic) and writes your edit in the closest match: Helvetica, Times, Courier, or a similar open font such as Calibri-style, Cambria-style or Roboto. The original font is only partly stored inside the PDF, so the match can be very close but not always identical. You can pick another font in the toolbar.

Can I edit password-protected PDFs?

Not directly. If you know the password, use our Unlock PDF tool to make a copy without it, then open that copy in the editor.

Is there a file size limit?

There is no fixed limit. Because everything runs on your device, very large files depend on your device's memory.

Which languages are supported?

You can type in Hindi, Telugu and other languages. Text that standard PDF fonts cannot draw is drawn with a font on your device and embedded as an image.

How do I report a problem or suggest a tool?
